At the Shanghai Motor Show in April 2015 premiere was presented the seventh generation of full-size sedan that carries the name of the 2017 Ford Taurus. This model had previously caught during testing on tracks in Australia. The Australian branch of the Ford Company is responsible for the entire engineering of this model. It is especially popular in the markets of North and South America, China, India and Southeast Asia. The exact dimensions are not yet known but it is known that the growth compared to the previous model. Body will be built on CD4 platform, which will have less weight. The platform is shared with the Lincoln MKS and Ford Fusion. On the exterior are updated front grille, headlights, LED rear light, chrome moldings and more. Cab brings more space and comfort in both rows of seat. The roof is also redesign with new panels to reduce the influence of the sun.
2017 Ford Taurus – Engines
2017 Ford Taurus for the US market will have two engines available. The base engine is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder, while the top version is 3.5-liter V6 engine with all-wheel drive. Eco Boost turbo generator is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Manufacturers expect fuel economy and better performances. A Chinese market will get a 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged Eco Boost V6 engine with front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel. Precise control system and mechanical upgrades will provide better driving characteristics. Detailed specifications will be announced later.

2017 Ford Taurus is inspired with the quality of skin and sophisticated technologies. The space between two rows of seats is sufficient for the legs, while the seats are electrically adjustable. The center console has a new LCD screen, a new instrument panel and other devices. The new shifters and sport pedals provides adrenaline ride. The safety package includes standard features in offer. Sales will begin in the first quarter of 2016 year and the price of the model is not yet known. The final price will depend on the choice of equipment packages and the competition in this segment is large.
