2017 Honda CR-Z Review

2017 Honda CR-Z will be first time introduced during the year 2016 year. This sports coupe with two seats is designed for North American and Japanese markets. The new CR-Z will be based at the Civic Type-R model. The body will be built on a platform that will share with the Civic Type-R, but will have a smaller wheelbase for 4 inches. Exterior will brings the following changes: refreshed front mask, headlights, roof-line, and the rear fascia. The interior will be very modern, and the focus is on modern technologies and materials. The simple layout of the controls and good visibility will enable good management skills. The drive motor will also be taken from the Civic Type-R with high output performances. The previous generation had a hybrid drive with a sluggish 180-horsepower. Competition in this segment is large, and the engineers are tried to use the best solutions from Acura NSX model and implement in this model.

2017 Honda CR-Z  – Under the hood

2017 Honda CR-Z under the hood hides 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder VTEC engine that delivers more than 280 horsepower. Civic Type-R model generates 306 horsepower, so the reduced output for 20 horsepower. The engine is paired with an automatic transmission which will have front-wheel drive. It is expected upgrade front suspension and introduction slip differential. The engine will have direct fuel injection and other technologies that increase the efficiency of the engine. The hybrid drive is not planned for the second generation and is soon expected data about acceleration. Detailed specifications will be announced later.

2017 Honda CR-Z has a two-seater cabin with a refreshed interior. Ergonomic seats and a new center console will leave you breathless. The list of equipment includes a touch screen, navigation system, entertainment system, digital instrument panel and more. Passenger safety is at the highest level thanks to the stability control, traction control, improved braking system, airbags, sensors, camera and more. In sale will be available in early 2017 year and the price has not been determined. The assumption is that the price will be higher than it was be in the first generation, which was launched back in 2007 year.
